Students Visit the Amazon Fulfilment Centre

On April 16th, Saltley Academy's school council embarked on an eye-opening journey to the brand new Amazon Fulfilment Centre EMA4 in Minworth. The visit was an opportunity for students to witness first-hand the detailed processes behind online retail. As we toured the vast facility, the pupils were amazed by the robotics, conveyor belts, and efficient logistics that ensure packages reach customers worldwide.

Engaging with Amazon staff, the students gained insights into workplace operations and learnt about the journey that goods take on the way to homes around the country. The visit not only broadened their understanding of modern commerce but also inspired them to think critically about the future of technology and its impact on society.
