Year 8 Forward Thinking Launch Event

On the 11^th June, 10 Year 8 students visited the University of Birmingham for the launch of the Forward Thinking Programme. This initiative aims to inspire young minds by giving them a glimpse into university life and encouraging them to consider higher education in their future plans.

The students participated in various engaging activities and workshops designed to spark their curiosity and broaden their horizons. Families then joined us in the Great Hall for a welcome from the Forward Thinking team and a presentation from the motivational speaker Action Jackson. This is just the start of this programme which continues until year 11 and includes various events at the University as well as mentoring, with the aim of fostering a sense of excitement and motivation for their educational journeys ahead.
