Strengthening Success: Saturday Intervention Sessions for Year 11 at Saltley Academy

We are thrilled to say that our next round of Saturday interventions began on Saturday 13th January. This initiative is aimed at bolstering the preparations of our year 11 students as they approach their second set of mock exams beginning on 30th January. Recognising the importance of these sessions in the lead-up to the Mock Exams, we have tailored our intervention strategies to target key subject areas and ensure that students feel well-equipped and confident when facing their examinations. We understand that approaching mock exams can be both exciting and challenging. These Saturday sessions are structured not just to impart knowledge but to instil confidence in students’ abilities. Students can utilise this opportunity to engage with teachers, ask questions, and fine-tune exam strategies.
Parents, your involvement is crucial in ensuring the success of these intervention sessions. Encourage your child to actively participate, review the materials covered during the sessions, and engage in open communication about their progress. Together, we can make these sessions a transformative experience for our Year 11 students.
Students remember: these sessions are not just about the Mock Exams; they are a stepping stone towards the larger goals you are aiming to achieve. Stay focused, stay positive, and know that your hard work will undoubtedly pay off.
The sessions are running from 13th January until 3rd February (inclusive) and then again from 13th April to the 4th May. The actual GCSE exams begin on Thursday 9th May.
