Dear Year 11,

As you received your results yesterday, I want you to pause, take a breath, and recognise something incredibly important, regardless of the numbers on that page, you should be deeply proud of your journey and everything you have achieved during your time at Saltley Academy.

For those of you who got exactly what you hoped for a huge congratulations. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment have paid off, and you deserve every bit of celebration coming your way.

For those feeling disappointed or deflated right now, please hear this clearly: these results do not define you. They do not measure your character, your potential, or the future you are capable of building. You are standing in the same place as thousands of students across Birmingham, faced with a decision about what comes next.

And that decision is yours. Not your friend's, not anyone else's. Yours.

Ask yourself: Which pathway is right for me? Will it be A-Levels, BTECs, T-Levels, Level 1 vocational pathways, Entry Level programmes or an apprenticeship that leads to a strong qualification and a successful career? Whatever you choose, choose it because it aligns with your strengths, your interests, and your aspirations.

Now is the moment to move forward with high hopes, ambition, and the lessons you've learned along the way. Your journey is only just beginning, and every single one of you has something exceptional to offer.
